JolieFoto

these are the pics that i took at Jolie Foto for my QuinceaƱera. it wasn't on the day of my party, but i'm wearing the same dresses.

i was laughing when this one was taken. haha
can you believe i did my hair myself!?
haha they put my name on the mirror.
my least favorite of the 5.
i wasn't quite ready for this but it looks nice anyways.

i'll post more pictures of the actual party when i get them.

oh and the reason i'm posting them on my vesta blog...

in latin tradition, a QuinceaƱera (15th birthday) is a party to celebrate when a girl becomes a woman. i know i'm not mexicna, but my grandma esther is so i'm letting her throw me one so she doesn't bust a gut or get sick from freaking out. lol okay so yeah. apparently now i'm a woman. thats why the pics are on this blog... k laterz

Film Studies Assignment

In my English class at school we are doing an international film unit. at the moment we are learning about all the angles, camera positions, framing, movement, techniques, tricks, ideas, and props used in movies. we have an assignment where we have a list of shots, and using out own cameras, we need to take those shots (she said it would help if we have a theme). i thought this was interesting so i'm posting my shots.

Bird's Eye View
Low Angle
Medium Shot
High Angle
Oblique/Canted Shot
Close-Up
Extreme Close-up
Extreme Long Shot
Eye Level
Long Shot

so those are my shots. i tried to make them as good and creative as possible. i hope i get an A!

i don't really know why i put this on my vesta blog. i guess it could count as vesta...could it?

Welcome Ladies & Gents

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the fantastic world of Kayla's Vesta training. My older sister since I was little has been doing Vesta training with me. Vesta being the goddess of the hearth and home. This has ranged from how to properly oil and dust a piano, to baking treats, and doing crafts. This blog will be to show my experiments and growing pains in cooking, baking, bento making, and all manner of domestic projects.
Hope you enjoy the comedy, and perhaps some of the magic.
